The Fiji Society for the Blind in partnership with Fiji Community Development Programme (FCDP) funding towards vision screening, raises all awareness in schools, rural and remote villages and settlements around the islands of Fiji and conducts vision screening to identify common eye diseases such as trachoma, cataracts & presbyopia to eliminate avoidable blindness and vision loss.
The Fiji Society for the Blind was established in the year 1970 by public support led by the Suva Rotary Club, just after Fiji gained its independence.
